Loki/Darcy Week: Day 1 - Jealousy.
Jealousy.
Darcy Lewis isn’t that kind of girl. Or at least that’s what she keeps telling herself as she watches Loki with the beautiful blonde he’s with. His wife.
His wife. It hurt to even think it.
Darcy Lewis didn’t want to be that kind of girl. A girl who envied the guy’s own wife because she had some weird-unnatural feelings for him. Seriously, the guy had tried taking over the world and enslaving all of humanity! How could she be attracted to that! But she was, and it completely sucked.
And maybe it wasn’t so absurd that she was mildly in love with Loki. One, he’s a god (sexy as all hell!). Two, he was trying very hard to redeem himself of his past sins and he was doing a great job at it! Three, they had some damn fun times tormenting the folks at S.H.I.E.L.D. (she really shouldn’t have encouraged him then though because those were his beginning stages of redemption). Besides Jane, Loki was Darcy’s best friend. Whenever she was feeling down, she could always count on Loki to play some trick and she’d be laughing her ass off.
Darcy couldn’t do that with him now. His unworldly beautiful wife, Sigyn came into the picture and ruined everything! She couldn’t do those fun things with him anymore because it would just hurt too much. Being close to him, knowing that he was married and out of her reach, it would just be impossible to still be his friend. It might make her selfish or pathetic or whatever, but she just didn’t have the strength to deal with that sort of pain.
So, Darcy Lewis walked away. Away from Loki Laufeyson and his beautiful wife.
